Division III basketball player Carl-Hens Beliard was fatally shot on Halloween 2023.
Houston Baptist men's basketball star Darius Lee killed.
The inspiration for our mission - "Darius Lee, a senior at Houston Baptist (now Christian) University in Texas, was killed, the university said. He was 21. He grew up in Harlem, attended St. Raymond High School for Boys in the Bronx, and was home for summer break."
